1) http://www.foxnews.com/us/index.html
Scroll to the bottom of the page and look for a video link that says War on Drugs with a picture of a plastic bag of pink stuff with a sticker of a bunch of grapes on it...click here and it will take you to a news clip interviewing the deputy drug czar about how drug dealers are trying to make drugs more appealing to children. He says they're now making "candy flavored meth" to trick kids into using it, and "marijuana bubblegum." I have never heard of either of these things, does anyone know anything about this? Ever tried weed gum? If it's just a candy shell stuffed with buds...that sounds really gross to chew on...
2) When you click on the link to watch the War on Drugs clip, there's a menu below it with other video links...click on the "Never Get Busted" one with Barry Cooper's picture. He gets savagely attacked for promoting illegal activity, among other things, and ridiculed for drawing parallels between the war on drugs and some of our history's darkest past, like slavery. But he holds his own and handles the criticism pretty well.
Can anyone link to these actual videos? I'm sure the content of the Fox News page changes frequently, and you might not be able to find these videos by following my directions after a while.
Have I ever mentioned that I can't stand the anchors on that show? I don't think I've ever seen people so passionately misinformed and willing to spread their misguided opinions as truth.
Barry Cooper did stand up for himself pretty well, if I was being harassed like that I probably would've started yelling. Kudos, Mr. Cooper.
Is Fox News a reflection of a lot of misinformed people in America or are they the ones doing all the misinforming?
Speaking of Barry Cooper, here's a link to an AP article on Yahoo about him...
FOX news is rapidly being discredited as a credible news source, and should be seen for what it really is; a right wing neo-con tool.
I remember when FOX started their news shows (a few years ago now), I couldnt believe it. Previously the primary content on FOX was sitcoms and soaps, not a great platform for believable news reporting. Its pretty clear now the news there is just as fabricated.

Concerning cooper; that is not a fabricated story.
I saw the FOX telecast about him briefly, and it had a whole bunch of manufactured drama, somebody arguing with him blah blah blah and Barry giving his side of the story while plugging his website.

Concerning the marijuana bubble gum story...that sounds a bit far fetched. Granted, there has been a supposedly legal (no weed) hemp flavored candy, and things like that advertised in high times, as well as good ol Blueberry Bubble gum -variant of weed that has been around dallas, but i've never heard of dealers adding anything to marijuana to make it more addictive, and come to think of it, this doesn't make sense. Marijuana isn't addictive, and you really can't hook kids into it in a permanent kind of sense as with crystal meth.
Its just the kind of reporting that you hear from poorly researched stories.
Nothing more or less.
Also....marijuana was quite popular in candies back in the 1800's. There were marijuana lozenges, types of candy that were sold even in the Sears catalog back in the day. They were the typical kinds of pseudo medicines sold back then......the ones with the wild claims about their cures and so forth. Eventually though....marijuana got a bad rep from the mexicans guachos that smoked like it was going out of style....
it just makes you wonder how many people saw those spots on fox news and were like, "oh, dear! people with deadly marijuana habits are corrupting our society!"
yeah.... i think that fox would have more credibility if they were just about reporting the news....instead of serving their agenda.
