Well that's just a bad coincidence. The press will probably ignore our march and be distracted by the immigration march. I mean, they had "350,000 to 500,000 in 2006" and immigration laws haven't changed. Also if their route is different, the press will be all over their route... not ours.

We need a mega march...

Maybe we can confuse the press into thinking all of those people are for the MJ march! We need to try even harder for coverage now.

I think that there could be positives...
more press, it's gona be there.
We would have more direct contact with People..by more people being down town.

But I am concerned about being called "gravy Trainers" some may think that we are there because they are....
no matter the facts..

Just my 2 cents..

I feel even if they have 10,000 people attend their march, that would still blow us out of the water. We may get a little coverage but no where near what we deserve. The immigration issue isn't as taboo as marijuana is in TX. Just solely because of the fact they are on the same date... We'd definitely get better coverage if we had our own day.

How many numbers are we expecting? Recruiting people along the way? Maybe some from their march will join ours. Just some thoughts.

Who knows people in the media? Can anybody work on contacting a few reporters? Knowing somebody would be quite helpful.
