Truer words have never been spoken. I got accused of causing a car accident but kept my mouth shut the entire time and got a ticket. My insurance denied both of the other drivers claims based upon conflicting information from the other drivers and when i fought the ticket with a lawyer the judge found because the officer never took a statement from me and both the other drivers conflicted on what they told the officer the ticket was dismissed.
Never talk to the police, just ask for an attorney.
