I recently finished the book, "Drug Crazy", by Mike Gray http://www.drugcrazy.com/. Just as recent as last month they showed another photo shot of individuals being gunned down in cities as close to the US as Juarez, and Tiajuana Mexico. I can recall whenever the drug lords, the real ones, making billions of dollars, used to live far south in So. American and countries like that. But now it appears they're knocking at our door steps.
How did these small time local drug dealers with very little international sales go from peasant farm workers/pot farmers to the multi-billion dollar organizations we see today pounding on our door steps displaying thier brash grappling hold on the latin ameicans just south of us? Read this book and it'll give you a chronilogical and very detailed lay out of how that happened and how it was the US and its drug wars that brought them to the positions they're in now and the locations they now occupy. If that doesn't make you made I don't know if anything can.
