Here is one story that always comes to mind whenever I think of the government abusing the system. This may be a little too old for most of you but this was one of my favorite artist when he first appeared on the scene.
After being sent to prison for what I consider nothing. While in there he was brutalized by other inmates and wasn't able to sing the same due to his diminished self esteem and the huge scar now adorning his lip.
He eventually got back in the music scene playing with the Texas Tornadoes, not too long before he finally passed away.
As a child this was my first glimpse as to how our government can really work to screw some ones life up!
