I dont know how these really work but I havent heard anything on this bill since last august. All these other states are moving forward and I dont see Texas moving in any direction.

Over the years this has happened to all of the Marijuana Legalization laws in Texas despite the fact that 73% of Texans support the legalization of Medical Marijuana. Another approach would be for Texas to become an Initiative state where the citizens can vote up or down a bill (like California).

Ballot Initiative

If I'm not mistaken, the ballot initiative is the only saving grace for many pro-marijuana states. This is because the prevailing mentality is still the product of government propaganda brain-washing. It turns people into robots who can't think. Case in point, all the California officials (cops, city council members, politicians) who are still trying to get marijuana converted back to fully illegal status.

It's hard to win over those who supposedly 'represent' us. That's why, if we (the citizens of the State of Texas) had the right to force a vote by registered voters, we'd have a much, much greater chance of getting marijuana legalized. Sadly, such a thing is not legal in Texas, and until it is, there will be no ballot initiative to skirt around the brainwashed minority. Please listen to Elsewhere, above.
