I'm in the middle of this very good book. After reading this book or rather just reading the cover and the foward of this book infuriated me!
Only for those who have not a one compassionate bone in thier bodies will this book mean nothing to you. But for the rest of us warm blooded, living and breathing people this book will make your stomack turn with disgust and disdain for the powers at work to keep Medical or any type of Marijauna use from those whom either just want to use it but most especially for those whom must use it just to keep from losing thier sanity due to the illnesses they suffer from or the cure from illnesses they suffer from.
By an Harvard, Phd, in medicine, this book goes into detail the true and documented stories of specific individuals whom undergone strenuous governmental regulations and experimentation to great lengths so the government could try and prove that there is no way a simple nor single plant such as marijuana could work. Unbeknownst even to themselves and once they concede to the turth of the matter. The government, still the sore loser in this deal, dissmisses the facts of the truth for blind stubborn over regulation to the point the even the so-called legally and more lethally prescribed medication are almost impossible to obtain.
Dr. Lester Grinspoon http://www.cognitiveliberty.org/pressroom/lester_grinspoon.htm after suffering from his sons illness admittedly expressed that although having a Phd in Medicine he simply to the word of the government and those before him that marijuana was bad and had no intrensic value, much to his chigrin and his families. A moment in his life that sparked or ingited his fevor for advancement and improved efforts to legalize marijuana for not simply for medical uses but also as a relaxant much as is already done to this day. http://norml.org/index.cfm?Group_ID=5474
"Marihuana The Forbidden Medicine", http://rxmarijuana.com/index2.htm is a book you won't be able to put down until you finish it just to see how much more you can become with the government and it's flunky companies just to keep up the already pervasive lie they continue to support.
A great read indeed, so much so the I'll be reading the companion book, "Marihuana, Reconsidered", the more scientific, analytical and chemistry/labratory book to understanding marijuana.
I hope you get to read at least on of these books but most especially the "Marihuana the forbidden medicine" if any at all. Happy reading. Love D
