Heya folks- Check out on the homepage, right side, the Event for the June Meeting- it's also a BBQ and Picnic at Veterans Park in Arlington! We will be meeting in the second parking lot, at the top of the hill south of the parking lot- there's a beautiful pavillion and view up there. We will gather between 6 and 7 and fire up the grill about 7pm to cook hot dogs and hamburgers. DFW NORML will provide Hot Dogs and Hamburgers as well as buns for both- all other embellishments are needed!
Please RSVP by replying to this thread. If you'd like to bring something, please choose anything(s) from the below list you'd like, and put them in your response. Make sure to read all of the responses, though, so you see what everyone else has already picked, and so we don't wind up with five bowls of potato salad. ;-)

Fun but damp
Hey folks-
It was a good time, if a little wet- no big deal, we toughed it out, got some beautiful views of lightning (a few miles off) and had some great BBQ. If you weren't there, you were missed!

I just wanted to say thanks to everybody last night. I was the loud, hopefully not too obnoxious new guy. It was great fun and everyone was so nice. Thanks for the food and good times. I look forward to seeing you guys again.

And Cheez, thanks for being Chef, sorry if I inexplicably got frustrated learning about satelites, I think the combo of having fun in ways I haven't in years and a conversation that required my attention only led to my being lost. And thanks Nan, wish I could've heard ya better when you were talking about Nasa. I'm gonna have to look up Steve in kickboxing, I'll be pulling for him to work his way up the ranks.

I'll be coming.
I'll bring some desserts, but nothing special in them. Sorry- I don't bake (in the oven) and I'll just get something at the bakery.
I've invited a couple of non-members and asked them to RSVP, but I don't know if they'll attend. They were surprised I was into this when I showed up with a small sunburn after the downtown rally, and seemed interested to find out more. Perhaps they'll become members.
