Day of the Dank Recap
Posted on: November 20, 2012
On November 3rd, we hosted our most successful live music events to date: Day of the Dank. Seven local music acts ranging from rock and surf to hip hop and funk performed, as did two burlesque dancers. There were face painters, vendor booths, drink specials and good times to the Red Goose Saloon. You really should have been there.
We saw more than 300 people throughout the night and made nearly $2,500 for the chapter. Since we’re a nonprofit, that money directly funds our efforts to end marijuana prohibition here in Texas. Not to mention the hundreds of passersby that we handed information brochures to in front of the venue on Houston St. This party was such a hit that we’re back at the Red Goose Saloon for our December fundraiser, dubbed: Chronica 2012.
DFW NORML would like to thank all of the sponsors, artists, performers and volunteers that made Day of the Dank possible.
