420 at the Green Elephant Recap

On April 20th we hosted 420 at the Green Elephant. There were 9 bands, fire spinners, glowing hoop dancers, munchies, prizes, reiki energy massage, vendors and a good time to be had by all. Around 500 people showed up throughout the 7 hour event in Dallas, helping us raise over $5,000 in donations!

During all the festivities, we had dozens of DFW NORML volunteers working all night covering the door, merchandise tables, selling raffle tickets and recruiting new contributors to the cause. A very special thanks goes out to everyone that contributed to the success of this event.

With the proceeds from 4/20, we’re funding the 2013 Global Marijuana March in Fort Worth on May 4th as well as the Texas Regional NORML Conference in June.

Additionally, we had an Effin’ NORML Proposal with our merchandise coordinator Aaron proposing to his pregnant girlfriend Roxy during the Effinays performance. We captured it on video here:
