Remembering the Texas Regional NORML Conference

Posted on: June 13, 2013

The Texas Regional NORML Conference went down this past weekend in the beautiful city of Fort Worth, TX. The 3-day event – full of information, networking, inspiration, and entertainment – was hosted by DFW NORML. Attendees of the conference included leadership from NORML and various Texas area NORML chapters, such as: Texas NORML, Houston NORML, UNT NORML, Waco NORML, San Antonio NORML, and UTA NORML.

Also in attendance was a diverse bunch of impactful and informative speakers, including former VP candidate Judge Jim Gray, NORML founder Keith Stroup, Rob Kampia of the Marijuana Policy Project, Joy Strickland of Mothers Against Teen Violence, and many more. Each day ended with sponsored parties, giving attendees, leadership, members, and speakers a time to connect and build new relationships with like-minded activists.

Long before the conclusion of the conference, many of the hundreds in attendance enthusiastically inquired about next year’s event. With such great success, we will soon be changing the event name to “The Annual Texas Regional NORML Conference”.
