DFW NORML Presents Another North Activist Training Day on January 17th in Fort Worth, Texas

Posted on: January 16, 2015

The NORML Women’s Alliance and DFW NORML invite you to join us for another Activist Training Day on Saturday January 17th from 2-4pm! The 2015 Texas Legislative Session begins in January, and we are going to help you get ready to influence marijuana law legislation.

We will cover the following topics:

– How a marijuana legalization bill could get passed;
– How the Texas legislative process works, and what to expect from the upcoming session;
– How to find out who represents you; and
– How to talk to your representative about cannabis

We have outgrown the room at Unity Church (pictured above) where we have held these meetings in the past, so this time we are being hosted by the Fort Worth Public Library in the Tandy Lecture Hall at their central location in downtown Fort Worth located at 500 W 3rd Street, Fort Worth, TX 76102.

This event is free and open to the public. You do not have to be a member to attend. You can RSVP on Facebook here: https://www.facebook.com/events/1509184882692192/

We are excited to announce that we will be hearing from two great speakers who have a ton of experience talking to their elected officials. We will hear from Tracy Ansley, DFW NORML Patient Outreach Coordinator, and Larry Talley, former DFW NORML Director, LEAP Speaker, and veteran. Tracy and Larry will be answering some questions panel-style, and they will also be available for a group Q&A at the end.

Herb’s the word!
