Do you support marijuana legalization? Do you also enjoy lake parties with like-minded individuals? If you answered “yes” to both of these questions then you are hereby invited to partake in our sixth annual Lake and Bake 2018.

WHAT IS LAKE AND BAKE?
Lake and Bake is the annual summer lake party hosted by the Dallas / Fort Worth chapter of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (DFW NORML). Activities include swimming, live music from local music groups, vendor booths, food, voter registration, inspirational speakers, prizes and more.

WHEN? Sunday July 22, 2018 from 3pm – 10pm
WHEN AND WHERE IS IT?
Sunday July 22nd from 3pm – 10pm. Enter Joe Pool Lake, Loyd Park and come to Pavilion H. The GPS coordinates for the pavilion are 32.609613, -97.062457.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Joe Pool Lake charges a $10 per car entry fee, but otherwise our event is free to attend with plenty of free parking. Save money by carpooling with friends!
WHAT TO BRING?
Water bottles that can be refilled, sunscreen, bug spray, hats, sunglasses, fans, towels, swimsuits, life jackets, floats, boats, jet skis, rafts, backpacks, outdoor games, water guns, coolers with food and beverages as well as cash for vendor booths. No glass containers in designated areas or within 100 feet of the water. Portable toilets and a first aid booth will be onsite.
ARE KIDS ALLOWED?
Yes! This is a family friendly event where everyone is encouraged to bring friends and family to enjoy a NORML day at the lake with likeminded individuals.
WILL THERE BE MUSIC?
Yes! We have a selection of DJs as well as one live musical performance scheduled throughout the day.

IS SMOKING ALLOWED?
Always remember that cannabis is still illegal in Texas, so no, it is not “allowed.” We encourage everyone to be mindful of their surroundings, remain discreet and always be courteous to other attendees. We fully expect the GPPD to routinely patrol the area near our pavilion as they do with all of the pavilions at Joe Pool Lake, so do not be alarmed if you see police. Be respectful and be smart.
ARE PETS ALLOWED?
All pets must be leashed. Visitors with pets that present a threat or disturb other visitors will be asked to remove their pets from the park. Pets are not allowed on the swimming beaches or playgrounds at any time. Pets cannot be left unattended at any time.
